Fine Art
Kate began her work as an artist as a natural offshoot of her theatre design work. In 2001 there was demand for a portrait of a matriarch for the set of Harvey, which she had designed and directed. Her first work was a watercolor portrait, “Grandma Josie”, after a photographic portrait of her grandmother. Since then Kate has earned awards in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, and photography from the St. Charles County Parks Department, St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre, and Oak Leaf Artists' Guild. Kate has received commissions and sold her artwork as well as having her first solo show at the Joseph Sisters Gallery in Ste. Genevieve in March of 2011.
